Discovering Creativity
In my childhood, I explored my artistic side through dancing, drawing portraits for my family, and making patterns for friendship bracelets. While developing my visual skills in a specialised arts-track during secondary school, I actually swore off graphic design as a teenager because I viewed it as a way to manipulate people. Later, during an internship in a theatre's costume department, I began processing my emotions through surreal portrait paintings and shared them online to find a community.
This showed me how visual communication also has the power to connect people for good, and inspired me to study Graphic Design after all.
Different By Design
I’ve always cared about helping others, which also lead me to a part-time job in residential care for disabled individuals before I moved to the UK, and it’s why a lot of my work is focused on advocacy and accessibility. Being able to make a positive difference, even just making someone’s day a little bit more joyful, is my biggest inspiration (both in design and in life).
Forever Curious
While I’m highly adaptable and enjoy exploring new mediums and platforms as frequently as I change my hair colour, my strongest skills are research, concept and strategy development. Target audiences aren’t just numbers and demographics, they’re humans! Understanding and empathising with them allows me to build deep connections and create empowering, user-centred outcomes.
